 Website Reflection


I'm in the process of making me own website on Wix. In the website I have put my media work of the current year and the past year to show my work over the 2 years. I have made few changes to my website, I have changed the layout of the section where all of my work is such as blog posts and videos from YouTube going to be in there. I also added a show reel section where I will post my show reel, I'm still in the process of making my own show reel. My name of the website is called 'Bruno Singer Studios' and the type of work that I have put in my website is the barbering video, barbering pitch, business cards, CV, personal statement etc.

Envisage:

I wanted my website to be nicely detailed as possible and I know that the task of making me own website won't be easy but I tried my hardest to make my website perfect. The things that I have envisioned about my website is making different sections to my work in and a section where tell my audience about my website, so I envisioned it to have an introduction and sections of putting my work in such as blog posts, YouTube videos, showreel etc. Another thing that I thought it be a nice edition to my website was the contact section, where my audience can send their feedback if there is any changes or adjustments that can be made to the website because audience feedback is very important for the development for my website.


I put my website name and description as the main focus so that my audience can see the name of the website and have read about my website, so they can know the intentions and the purpose of the website.


I have included all of my work that I have done for the past 2 years in media. I put them in my website in order to show the work that I have done to my audience and show the past projects that I have done during 2 years in college.


The next one is the videos of sort films and tutorials. This will be an opportunity for my audience to see my skills that I have gained during the two years of media like editing and team work skills etc. 


In this last screenshot, there is a section on my website that is for my showreel. A showreel is a highlight of some of my best work during the past 2 years as a media student, my audience will have the chance to watch my compiled work into one video and go through the work that I have made for the past 2 years. 


Feedback:

The feedback is mainly positive, one of the things that they like about my website is the overall design of the website; the colour scheme and contrasting text colours of the website that they liked. One of the few things that they like is the simplicity as it is 'easy to navigate' which I'm happy that I have this as one of my feedback's because even though, making my website simple wasn't the main ideas when I was designing my website, but at least I'm happy that my website isn't hard to navigate when people are negativing through my website. When asked what things that they disliked about the website, majority said that the business tagline should be removed so to make my website cleaner and I should have included my business logo, I have to agree with this feedback as most websites do have their logos as mine doesn't so I'll make those changes in my own spare time. Lastly, one of the most important questions in every feedback forum is what changes would make to the website and I got mixed opinions, someone said 'remove the business tagline' (which I will do just that), nothing at all and the website could benefit with some colour, I would only remove the tagline and leave it as it is because I think my website looks fine the way as it is in my opinion and I'm happy of what I have done.

Business Logo

Business Logo One of this first examples for my logo design. I like the design of this one because of the golden leaves around the rhombus and I also like the initials in the middle, which is something that I'm thinking about doing it for my logo. Also I like the dark background, it gives more of a mystery look to it. I think I will take the idea of putting initials in the middle for my own logo design but, the outside of the logo will be different but I'm still undecided of what my final design is going to be.  The next example is the  logo of Cutler Catering. I kind of like the design of the logo, the utensils are put to the left while the name of the company to the right.
